Theatre lighting design and control
The first Assamese software of its kind
A lighting tool for theatre designers, operators and students. Plan the light plot on a real stage, focus every instrument, read the light levels, check the look in 3D, build the cue list and print the paperwork.
The web app opens in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox. Install it from its start page and it works without internet. The offline file (890 KB) is for computers.
Launch: Sunday 25 October 2026, 5:30 PM, at the inaugural ceremony of BBITF 2026
Sri Sri Madhavadeva International Auditorium, Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra, Guwahati
What it does
- Light plot on seven stage templates, the Namghar and mobile theatre included
- Focus, beam and lux readouts
- 3D previsualisation with gobos and haze
- Tracking cue list with timed fades
- Live DMX control through a USB-DMX interface
- Fixture library with GDTF import
- Paperwork: instrument schedule, patch, magic sheet
- Calculators for throw, beam size, lux and power
Works with the other AANK apps
Send the venue, cue list and lighting report to XUDHAKANTHA, the mother app, or to SILPA KUTIR, BURHA LUIT, AAROHAN, SRINIBARAN and KUMSUNG. From their work XUNPAKHILI takes the stage size and type, and the scenes as markers in the cue list.
Choose Send to in one app, then Open from in the other. On aank.org the work moves across at once; elsewhere it travels as an .aank file.
Guides and downloads
Read the Installation Guide first: it shows how to open, install and keep your work safe on a computer, a phone or a tablet.
Devices
Works in Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox. A computer or tablet is best for the plot and the 3D view. DMX output to a USB interface needs Chrome or Edge on a computer; it is not available on iPhone, iPad or Android phones.
Your work stays on your device
Everything you make is kept on your own device. Nothing is uploaded and no account is needed. Save the project file (.xunp) now and then as a backup.
Scan with your phone camera to open the web app.
